"We had a great
program on saturday, starting with the Sita Rama Kalyanam in the
morning; there was a large audience in spite of the snow and bad
weather. Our priest, Ramana garu, led a beautiful program and led the
devotees as if it were the real wedding of the divine couple in the
Saraswati shine. It is a feast to our eyes and brought back fond
memories of Sri Rama Navami celebrations in the majestic temple of Sri
Bhadrachalam, India. Seshan ji and Ayyavaru helped our priest with the
elaborate preparations.
The
afternoon was a delightful experience with the divine vibrations from
the Saraswati Aradhana. The prayer hall was packed with standing room
only attendance. Thanks to Smt. Janaki Ramanan, Smt. Anu
Kodandaraman and Sri Ramanan ji for putting this wonderful program
together. There
were well over 100 adults and children, who participated from the area
music teachers in Carnatic and Hindustani music. True to
our mission, with the presiding deity of Saraswati Mata, we always
considered promoting arts - music and dance - in addition to
religious/spiritual education / practice."
